I support her message. It’s interesting how different cultures take environmental responsibilities and concerns more seriously than Western nations do. In this case, the Japanese ensure that they always dispose of garbage and clean up after themselves after sporting events, and I’m sure after any gathering for that matter. Imagine if fans of Western teams were told they wouldn’t be allowed to leave the stadium until they cleaned all the waste they left behind? I’m sure many fans would refuse, expressing resistance and indignation, because some have a sense of entitlement and don’t feel it’s their job to clean up the mess they made. That’s unacceptable, and the bemused Japanese woman in this video should set an example for the rest of the world about the importance of cleaning the places we occupy.
