You’ll Own Nothing: The Reality of Sony’s All-Digital PlayStation Shift

A few days ago, Sony announced that they will stop releasing physical copies of games at the beginning of 2028 and switch exclusively to digital purchases. In other words, they plan to strip players of their ownership and protection rights of tangible products (CD’s) and relegate players to digital game purchases in the future, which will put them at the mercy of Sony. Furthermore, many gamers have taken to social media to protest and express their discontent and frustrations with Sony. I’d like to keep this blog entry brief and include a short video that will explain this situation in greater detail.
