Something fascinating was brought to my attention this past weekend at work. I’ll keep this entry succinct (one paragraph) because it’s better to provide a video clip that delivers a more in-depth explanation of the topic of this blog entry. That being said, a client at my workplace introduced me to the haunting urban legend of “The Backrooms”, an ominous, eerie, and unsettling office room that resembles something out of a psychological horror film. For further context, before entering the second half of the testing center office, the client found it amusing that the testing rooms I monitor resemble the backrooms. Anyway, if anyone reading this is familiar with the lore behind “The Backrooms” or has heard of it before, then please leave a comment with any insight you’re able to share because I couldn’t stop thinking about it for two days. I’m a fan of horror stories, films, and video games, so I felt compelled to do my research. Watch the video clip provided below to gain a better understanding of this place.
