I don’t normally write food reviews (I may write more), and the last one I recall writing was about the time I had New Haven pizza, which was utterly mediocre (sorry, not sorry, New Haven). However, I am not opposed to trying it again. Anyway, this blog entry is regarding my visit to Worcester, MA, this past weekend. I’ve recently decided to change the title of my photo collection from “City photo mix” to “Cityscape Photo Journal” because I think it sounds more engaging. That being said, I hope you enjoy reading my post, and any insight or advice about writing food reviews or reviews in general would be appreciated. Peace.

Addie’s Soul Food review:

Price: The price of my meal (I ordered the homestyle fried chicken dinner with traditional soul food sides) was a little over $14, and the portions justified the price. In fact, I only ate half of the meal because the size was large enough to feed two people. Not to mention, I experienced a “food coma” (drowsiness) halfway through eating it, so I saved it for the next day, and it was worth it! 5/5

Customer Service/Food quality: The customer service was exceptionally hospitable. The one drawback I had was the long wait. However, the outstanding quality of the meal compensated for it. Granted, it’s a locally owned restaurant (I guess that it’s family owned), so I don’t want to speculate as to why it took longer than I expected for my meal to arrive, but as I said, the quality of the meal was remarkable and didn’t disappoint. Aside from the food, the first thing I noticed immediately once entering the restaurant was the decor, specifically, the brick walls, which were decorated with picture frames of prolific Black American/Caribbean/African icons that range from musicians, athletes, and civil rights figures.

Overall restaurant rating: 4.5/5
