Since the beginning of this year I’ve been doing some amateur photography around the city I live in which is Cambridge MA and sometimes I would venture out to Boston and snap some shots as I take in the city’s landscape and head to a entertainment spot afterwards. This collection of four colored photos I took all comprise of places where I frequent and where we find daily entertainment from Bars/restaurants/lounges, Nightclubs, Comedy clubs, and bookstores to name a few. In addition, I will also add a description of the location and a little background on my motivation behind taking these snapshots. With that said, if you’re a professional photographer or amateur photographer and want to chime in please do because I’m always looking to hear feedback from people who do this craft consistently and exceptionally. Location : Harvard University Coop, Harvard Square, Cambridge MA
Site description : Located in the heart of Harvard Square, The Coop is a bookstore I stop by whenever I’m in Harvard Square and looking to kill time before meeting up with friends to have a good night out. I stop by and browse the novels and scenery and come across new novels that peak my interest. As an avid reader and a collector of books this place always gives me comfort.
Location : Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub, Central Square, Cambridge MA
Site description : The Middle East is a cornerstone in Cambridge for live entertainment. From concerts, comedy open mic nights, dance parties, and cuisine. I’ve attended this location a few times with every time always being a memorable experience. I look forward to go back there in the future. What the defunct Tunnel was to NYC in the 90’s, The Middle East is to Cambridge minus the constant insanity The Tunnel brought.
Location : Tasty Burger (East Coast Burger Restaurant), Cambridge MA
Site description : This photo depicts the bar/lounge which is below The Tasty Burger restaurant. This is one of my favorite locations to go to, and even though I don’t drink I always stop by this spot to catch a game, eat and shoot pool. Not to mention it’s a great place to meet new people and have a good time.
Location : The Burren, Davis Square, Somerville MA
Site description : I began going to comedy shows last Spring and I continued going up until this pandemic hit us. I usually watched my comedy through means of comedy specials and I didn’t have my first live comedy experience until as stated last Spring. This photo depicts a venue that showcases a free comedy night on Wednesday at 10PM that I sometimes attended and a lot of local comics and Boston headlining comedians have made appearances here and I was witness to them.
